Yangon, Myanmar
4th – 6th November 2016

AKFC was held for the first time in Yangon, Myanmar with the support of YKK Thailand (Yangon) branch. Around 39 members of the media attended the press conference that was held in Sedona Hotel Yangon.

The clinics took place in Star City’s athletic field in Thanlyin Township. 39 coaches from the Myanmar Football Federation, Yangon Football Club, Star City & YKK THA Yangon attended the coaches clinic. 225 participants of the kids clinic were the underprivileged children from World Vision and Yadanar Monastery.

It was a rare opportunity for most of the kids as they had never played football on a proper field before. Despite the hot weather, they wore delighted expressions on their faces throughout.

Colombo, Sri Lanka
26th – 28th August 2016

This year, the YKK Asia Group Kids Football Clinic (AKFC) headed back to Colombo, Sri Lanka for a second time since the program’s initiation. Organized by YKK Holding Asia PTE. LTD. (YHA) and YKK Lanka (PVT) LTD in conjunction with the Real Madrid Foundation (RMF), this edition of YKK Asia Group’s regional flagship CSR event took place over three days at the Racecourse International Rugby Stadium. (RIRS)

A total of 40 coaches from various organizations such as the Sri Lanka Football Association and Badulla Football Academy and 211 underprivileged youth from SOS Children Villages and Badulla schools took part in this event. During the coaches’ clinic, the RMF coaches shared their club’s training methodology and techniques with the local coaches so that they could pass them on to further develop the sport locally. On the other hand, the children had lots of fun learning various football skills the “Spanish” way, picking up developmental social skills in the process and achieving the event’s main aim of bringing smiles to the faces of underprivileged youth in Sri Lanka through the universal sport of football!
