YKK Bangladesh Pte Ltd organized a tree plantation program at Gorpara ML High School, Manikgonj on 18th June 2016 as a part of their regular CSR activities. This year, a total 300 trees have been planted in the school area and 1500 seedlings distributed to the students, so they can plant them around their housing area. The YKK Bangladesh factory director and other YKK higher officials were present in this activity.
On 31th December 2014, YKK Bangladesh organized Blankets Distribution activity to distribute blankets to the winter affected people as part of it's CSR programme.
Around 250 blankets were distributed to the poor people at Rupnagar Model School & College, Mirpur, Dhaka. Mr. Kosuke Miimi, President & CEO of YKK Bangladesh, and others high officials of YKK Bangladesh were also present on the occasion.
On Oct 31- Nov 01 in Chittagong, YKK Holding Asia (YHA) and YKK Bangladesh partnered with Real Madrid Foundation (RMF) for their latest CSR Campaign, called 2014 YKK Asia Group Kids Football Clinic, to support healthy growth of children through sports. This is the event's third time in Bangladesh and for the first time it will be held in the port city of Chittagong at the M A Aziz stadium; the biggest and most grand sporting venue.
2014 "Education For All" Free Computer Distribution Program (Project since 2009)
In a consecutive CSR programme, YKK Bangladesh distributed 10 sets of computers and 10 computer table to the unprivileged student of Jagir High School on 25 September 2014. The company will continue to support the underprivileged of the society.
YKK Bangladesh organized Tree Plantation program at Zagir High School , Manikgonj on June 01, 2014 as part of their regular CSR activities. Total 150 seedling were planted and distributed 1350 seedling. Mr. Kosuke Miimi, YKK Bangladesh Managing Director; Mr. Yuji Yamase, Factory Director were present on the occasion.
In May 2014, YKK Bangladesh had set up a full facilities child care center in the factory to facilitate employees’ kids during working hours. The facilities include large hall rooms with sleeping area, playing & reading zones with different equipment; separate kitchen, bath rooms, toilet, first aid room & open children park. The company also providing all necessary foods during babies stay in this center. All the kids are taking care by babysitters and company doctor. The company will continue to develop a better working environment for the employees.
On 30th December 2013, YKK Bangladesh distributed sweater among the winter affected people at different parts of the city.
Kosuke Miimi, President & CEO of YKK Bangladesh, started the distribution at Lake Circus Girls High School Field. The distribution continues at Mohakhali, Green Road and Tejgaon. Total 300 sweaters were distributed to the needy. Masud Karim, General Manager, and other high official were presented.
2013 "Education For All" Free Computer Distribution Program
In a consecutive CSR programme, YKK Bangladesh distributed 10 sets of computers to the unprivileged student of Tetuljhora High School on 21st September 2013. The company will continue to support the underprivileged of the society.
A Blood Donation Campaign was organized by the employees of YKK Bangladesh at their factory premises on 11th September 2013 to support the Bangladesh Red Crescent Society. About 100 employees responded and participated in the Campaign.
On 5th June 2013, YKK Bangladesh has observed the " YKK Fastening Tree Planting Day" and has started a large number of tree planting & distribution program at Chapair B B High School, Kaliakoir, Gazipur. Kosuke Miimi, the Managing Director has inaugurated the program by sowing a seedling. Yiji Yamese, Director and Masud Karim, General Manager were present on the occasion.
For the fourth consecutive year, YKK Bangladesh distributed blankets among the winter affected people at different parts of the city on 6th January 2013 as part of it's CSR programme.
Kosuke Miimi, Managing Director of YKK Bangladesh, started distributing winter clothes from Kalabagan Krira Chakra field. Around 250 blankets were distributed among the people at Green Road, Dhanmondi Bridge, Mohammedpur, Tejgaon in the city. Masud Karim, General Manager of the Company and other executives were present.
YKK Bangladesh organized a tree plantation and distribution programme at Khan Bahadur Awlad Hossain Khan High School at Manikgonj Sadar upazila on June 18, 2012.
Kosuke Miimi, the managing director of the organization, inaugurated the programme by planting a sapling and distributing a large number saplings among students for planting on the premises of their houses.
Yuji Yamase, director, and Masud Karim, general manager, were present on the occasion.
Addressing the function Kosuke Miimi stressed the need for extensive tree plantation in the country and said that there was no alternative to this to protect the environment. "We must compensate the loss by planting more trees than we destroy," he said.
As continuant of its 2010 Winter Cloth Distribution program, YKK Bangladesh distributed blankets among the winter affected poor at different parts of the city on 6 January 2012.
Kosuke Miimi, Managing Director of YKK Bangladesh, distributed 250 blankets in the midnight among the poor at Mohakhali, Badda, Gren Road, Mohammadpur, Dhanmondi and Tejgaon. Masud Karim, General Manager of the company, and other senior officials were present.
On 17th September 2011, YKK Bangladesh, part of the Japan-based global leader in zipper manufacturing, distributed 5 sets of computers to an unprivileged school through the company's corporate social responsibility (CSR) programme. It was a joyous moment for the students of the Koitta Girls High School as they will have the opportunity to learn how to use computers in the flesh. Moreover, they will also able to access the boundless informational realm of the internet as YKK Bangladesh had also provided internet connection to the computers. Mr. Kosuke Miimi, the managing director of YKK Bangladesh, addressed the audience and urged the need for elementary level students to start being familiarised with the computers early so they will all eventually stand to benefit. The factory manager, Mr. Yuji Yamase and General Manager, Mr. Masud Karim and other high officials of YKK were also present at the occasion to witness this joyous moment for the students.

"Education for all" Free Book Distribution Program 2011
As part of the regular CSR activity, YKK Bangladesh has donated books to the underprivileged students of Anowara Hashem Memorial High School, Kalihati, Tangail on 12th February to ensure smooth studies.
The company has also donated some sports equipment to the school, helping students to keep physically fit.
In a consecutive CSR program, on 12th January 2011, YKK Bangladesh showed warm concern for the street people of Dhaka city by donating numerous blankets to them. These street people are mainly from rural districts in Bangladesh and hold unpredictable jobs. They work several odd jobs in the day and sleep wherever is suitable on the streets when night falls. They lead a hand-to-mouth existence. Over and above, government has made no remarkable contribution to their situation.
As part of its CSR programme, YKK Bangladesh held the tree plantation program on 2nd June 2010. This program has been done in several schools outside of DEPZ, and it’s the first time being done inside the factory with 200 saplings of different trees planted. Mr Hiroaki Nakamura, managing director and Mr Yuji Yamase, director of the company inaugurated the event together with employees of the company.
YKK Bangladesh started a sanitation programme as part of its CSR programme. President of YKK Bangladesh Pte Ltd Mr Hiroaki Nakamura, laid the foundation for a sanitation latrine at the Anowara - Hashem Memorial High School at Kalihati in Tangail yesterday to mark the inauguration of the programme. The Factory director Mr Yuji Yamase and other higher official of YKK were also present. The company took the initiative due to the acute shortage of hygienic latrine in the area with the school having only one latrine to be shared among 530 people.
This is a YKK Bangladesh and YKK Korea collaborated CSR project. At the beginning of the year, YKK Korea sent winter clothes to YKK Bangladesh, who bore the import taxes. On 8 February 2010, along Bashiruddin Road at Kalabagan area in Dahka, YKK Bangladesh distributed the winter clothes to 200 poor people.

YKK Bangladesh has donated a large number of educational books to be shared among students at Anwara Hashem Memorial High School at Kalihati in Tangail. Every year, YKK Bangladesh organizes different types of social developmental activities as part of the company's CSR.
YHA and YKK Bangladesh successfully collaborated in kicking off the "Just for kicks" YKK Kids Football Clinic project with a press conference at the Sheraton Dhaka on 6th May. The project returned to Bangladesh for the second time since it was organized in 2008 after having received overwhelming response from both the public and the media.
A large number of trees were planted by YKK Bangladesh at the Bikrampur Degree College & School in Munshigonj district, 60km south of Dhaka city, as part of the "YKK Fastening Tree Planting Day” on 9th June 2009. Mr. Hiroaki Nakamura, managing director of YKK inaugurated the event by sowing a seedling.
"Education for All" Free Book Distribution Program 2009
February 01, 2009, YKK Bangladesh has observed the Free Book Distribution Program 2009 and distributed a number of text and rare book (Total about 300 Books) to Koitta Girls High School at Saturia, Manikganj.
We distributed 40 set books for Grade 5 to Grade 9. This program is a part of YKK's prefixed CSR program.
As a social & environmental activity, YKK Bangladesh conducted the tree plantation programme at Koitta Girls High School at Saturia, Manikganj, 30km away from YKK factory on 12. June. 2008. In this event, 400 trees were planted with the help of students, teachers & YKK personnel.
"Just for Kicks" a CSR initiative that was inaugurated in 2007 in Singapore by YKK Holding Asia crossed borders this year and was organized in Bangladesh and Indonesia. The concept was to put over 700 boys aged 10-14 years old and 60 youth coaches through the paces for free by Academy coaches from world-renowned football club AS Roma.
